        insightsoftware Is a Vendor of Merit in Product Experience Management

        We are happy to share some insights about insightsoftware drawn from our latest Value Index research, Ventana Research Value Index: Product Experience Management, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements.

        In all of our Value Indexes we utilize a structured research methodology that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for Ventana_Research_Value_Index_Logo_Product_Experience_Management_2023_Logo-1proposal (RFP) and vendor selection process for product information management (PIM) and product experience management (PXM). We evaluated insightsoftware and 15 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (Adaptability, Capability, Manageability, Reliability and Usability) and two related to the vendor (TCO/ROI and Validation). To arrive at the Value Index rating for a given vendor, we weighted each category to reflect its relative importance in an RFP process, with the weightings based on our experience and on data derived from our Product Experience Management Benchmark Research.

        insightsoftware, through acquisition of Magnitude, a technology provider focused on data- and process-centric efforts, acquired a dedicated vendor called Agility PIM that continues to support the product line.

        insightsoftware was categorized as a Vendor of Merit, ranking 16th overall in this Value Index evaluation. It ranked 13th in Product Experience where it performed best in Adaptability and Capability, placing 11th in both. Ventana_Research_Value_Index_PXM_2023_insightsoftware-1It ranked 16th in Customer Experience and performed best in TCO/ROI, where it placed 14th. Its overall performance was impacted by its lower rankings in Reliability and Manageability where it placed 16th, which represents 25% of the weighting in the overall Value Index.

        Our assessment finds that insightsoftware could perform better by examining its placement in Product and Customer Experience, the future of the product line and the commitment to existing and potential new customers. It continues to support existing customers with maintenance releases of its PIM product.

        This assessment was based on insightsoftware Agility PIM 8 supporting product experience management and was available in January of 2023.

        insightsoftware, like all vendors in this space, should focus on the growing requirements for what product experiences are expected and how feedback from consumption can guide improvement.
