Ventana Research is looking to bring in new talent to help us grow our sales and account team to even greater heights. This individual will have a book of business and accounts with existing relationships and will engage with accounts that are familiar with Ventana Research as well as new accounts that are focused on advice and research to help their organizations be more effective through technology.

The account director position will be responsible for engaging with the firm’s top clients to meet their needs through existing services as well as actively promote other Ventana Research content services. The position will work with Ventana Research’s established client base and be responsible for managing accounts to continuous engagement. This person will engage clients across marketing and sales departments to the opportunity to utilize our research and services to help them be effective in their efforts. The position requires outbound phone calls every day to ensure client relationship and interactions through scheduled meetings. This individual will represent Ventana Research in a spirited and professional manner, both internally and with clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated person with relevant experience in account management and selling with two to ten years of experience in the field of research and technology industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-based environment, will proactively interact and respond to requests, and should be proficient in the use of Salesforce and Microsoft Outlook. This position requires excellent communication skills (written and verbal) across electronic mail and telephone mediums and must have great time management skills. We are looking for an individual that is passionate about helping customers gain a great customer experience through research and advisory services. The account position will be an essential link between clients and the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and coordinate with top level clients to meet their specific needs
  • Promote and sell our portfolio of services to ensure the full value of firm is realized
  • Engage weekly with accounts through telephone calls and meetings
  • Maintain professional interactions with clients and foster great client relationships
  • Responsible for client retention and expanding their work with the firm
  • Work closely with the client and research team to bring full value to the clients

We are preferably looking for someone in Bend, or willing to relocate, but we are flexible based on the experience of the individual. Responsibilities: 

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Report to the Senior Director of Sales on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executiveor similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • 2-5 years of successfully selling into the technology space
