As a leader in the technology research and advisory industry, we take seriously our responsibility to advocate for diversity and inclusion in the celebration of Pride Month in the United States in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
We stand with the movement to enable diversity and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community and the celebration of June as Pride Month. We must remain unwavering in our responsibility to overcome our societal challenges in acceptance of all humans no matter their gender identity or sexual orientation.
The challenges in equality for LGBTQ+ go back over 50 years in the United States from the uprising at the Stonewall Inn in 1969, the murder of Harvey Milk in 1978, survival of the AIDS epidemic to the present day challenges in every city. We celebrate the announcement made by the President of the United States to ‘recognize the achievements of the LGBTQ+ community, to celebrate the great diversity of the American people, and to wave their flags of pride high’ and proclaim June as Pride Month. As a firm, and as a collective voice in the industry, we look outward to celebrate the diversity of humanity.
At Ventana Research, people are at the center of our being and our top priority. Our commitment to this is part of our mission and our values, and it has compelled us to elevate the focus of diversity and inclusion in all workplaces. Personally, I have collaborated and worked side by side with members of the LGBTQ community since the 1980’s, and while this is not unlike many of us in society, there is much more that we can all do to ensure effective support of diversity and inclusion.
We will do our part to speak up and represent the values of humanity are everyone’s rights and ensure our pledge to do what we can to support all aspects of diversity and inclusion. We recognize that we can do more and are committed to a path for improvement.
We at Ventana Research have a desire for progress and the knowledge that diversity and inclusion is an essential part our firm and society, and we will do what we can to help influence change and support LGBTQ+. This is a journey and we are committed to listening and learning from that which can advance and support the values and policies of business and humanity.
