        Certinia is Exemplary in Subscription Management Value Index

        We are happy to share some insights about Certinia, formerly FinancialForce, drawn from our latest Value Index research, Ventana Research Value Index: Subscription Management, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements.

        In all of our Value Indexes we utilize a structured research methodology that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for VR_VI_Subscription Management_Exemplaryproposal (RFP) and vendor selection process for subscription management. We evaluated Certinia and 20 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (adaptability, capability, manageability, reliability and usability) and two related to the vendor (TCO/ROI and vendor validation). To arrive at the Value Index rating for a given vendor, we weighted each category to reflect its relative importance in an RFP process, with the weightings based on our experience and on data derived from our benchmark research on subscription management.

        Certinia, formerly FinancialForce, was categorized as an Exemplary Vendor, ranking third overall in this Value Index evaluation. It ranked third in Product Experience where it was designated a Value Index Leader in Usability, Reliability and Ventana_Research_VI_Subscription_Managment_Financial_ForceCapability. It ranked fourth in Customer Experience and was a Value Index Leader in TCO/ROI.

        When compared to all vendors in this Value Index, our assessment finds that Certinia could improve performance in Capability by utilizing more advanced techniques for anomaly detection and for operational reporting. In Validation, where it ranked seventh, it could examine the services it offers that provide expertise for those looking for guidance rather than just implementation.

        Certinia could perform better overall in this evaluation by addressing its Validation performance of 68.7% with increased visibility into its product roadmap and the sales and onboarding process.

        Certinia’s strongest performance came in TCO/ROI with 87.6% where it did well with business case development and ROI tools.

        This assessment was based on Professional Services Cloud and was available in March of 2023.

        Certinia, like all vendors in this market, should ensure they are tracking the needs and expectations of consumers including business customers, as more organizations outside of the traditional digitally native industries continue to evolve their use of mixed revenue models including subscriptions.
