We are happy to share some insights about Docebo drawn from our latest Value Index research, Ventana Research Value Index: Learning Management, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements.
In all of our Value Indexes we utilize a structured research methodology that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for proposal (RFP) and vendor selection process for analytics and business intelligence. We evaluated Docebo and 13 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (adaptability, capability, manageability, reliability and usability) and two related to the vendor (TCO/ROI and vendor validation). To arrive at the Value Index rating for a given vendor, we weighted each category to reflect its relative importance in an RFP process, with the weightings based on our experience and on data derived from our benchmark research on learning management.
Docebo’s learning management system includes AI-powered learning, learning analytics, and the ability to measure the effectiveness of a worker’s learning programs.
Docebo was categorized as an Exemplary Vendor, ranking third overall in this Value Index evaluation. It ranked fifth in Product Experience, where it ranked best in TCO/ROI. It ranked first in Customer Experience and was named a Value Index Leader in TCO/ROI. Its overall performance was impacted by its lower rankings in Usability and Adaptability, which represent 30% of the weighting in the overall Value Index.
Our assessment finds that Docebo could perform better by examining its placement as 11th in the Adaptability category and dedicating more resources to support its customers’ ability to configure and integrate the software to meet their specific business needs. In the Capability category, where it placed seventh, it could examine opportunities for improvement in the areas of tracking learning impact and ROI.
This assessment was based on Docebo’s Learn products available in October of 2022.
Docebo, like all vendors in this market, should ensure they meet the evolving needs and expectations of its buyers and customers for enterprise-wide learning and provide it where and when workers need it as part of their work.
