        Alteryx is Exemplary in DataOps Buyers Guide

        We are happy to share some insights about Alteryx drawn from our latest market research, Ventana Research Buyers Guide: DataOps, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements.

        We recently published four Ventana Research 2023 DataOps Buyers Guides, an assessment of technology vendors and products that provide individual and combined DataOps, data VR_BG_DataOps_Exemplaryobservability, data orchestration and data pipeline platform support.

        At Ventana Research, we continue to believe that, for most use-cases, there is a clear choice for DataOps platforms for any use in your organization. We developed four technology assessments and buyers guides to focus on overall DataOps requirements as well as specific data observability, data orchestration and data pipeline platform use-cases.

        In all of our Buyers Guides, we utilize a structured research methodology called the Value Index that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for proposal (RFP) and vendor selection process for DataOps. We evaluated Alteryx and 17 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (adaptability, capability, manageability, reliability and usability) and two related to the vendor (TCO/ROI and vendor validation).

        In the overall DataOps Buyers Guide, our analysis classified Alteryx as Exemplary, receiving an overall grade of B with 63.8%. Alteryx’s best performance came in Customer Experience at 80.4% and B++ grade due in part to Ventana_Research_BG_DataOps_Alteryxits A- in Validation. In Product Experience, Alteryx received a B- grade at 60.9% performance due to its 54.1% performance in Capability. Alteryx was designated a Leader in Adaptability, Usability and Validation. Alteryx partially participated in the RFI process.

        Alteryx’s B- grade in Product Experience was impacted by its C++ in Capability where it could add data observability functionality and enhance data pipeline development. Customer Experience was impacted by its B+ grade in TCO/ROI where it could increase investment in articulating its benefits.

        Alteryx performed best in Customer Experience with B++ grade, notably in Validation where it was a Leader with an A-grade due to its customer commitment, product roadmap, viability and support offerings. In Product Experience, it did well in Adaptability where it was a Leader with a B++ grade, and Usability where it was a Leader with B++ grade. Alteryx’s strong points were in user experience, configuration and customization.

        In the Data Orchestration Buyers Guide, our analysis classified Alteryx as Exemplary, receiving an overall grade of B++ with a 77.6% performance. Alteryx’s best grouped results came in Customer Experience Ventana_Research_BG_Data_Orchestration_2023_Alteryxat 80.4% performance and a B++ grade due in part to its A- in Validation. In Product Experience, Alteryx received a B++ grade with a 76.8% performance due to its 81.0% performance in Usability. Alteryx was designated an Overall Leader as well as in Product Experience, Adaptability, Capability, Usability and Validation. Alteryx partially participated in the RFI process.

        Alteryx’s B++ grade in Product Experience was impacted by its B in Manageability where it could enhance administration and configuration. Customer Experience was impacted by its B+ grade in TCO/ROI where it could better articulate business benefits.

        Alteryx performed best in Customer Experience with a B++ grade, notably in Validation where it received an A- due to its support, viability and references and case studies. In Adaptability, configuration and APIs are a strength. Alteryx’s focus on user experience led to its B++ grade in Usability.

        In the Data Pipelines Buyers Guide, our analysis classified Alteryx as Exemplary, receiving an overall grade of B+ with a 73.4% performance. Alteryx’s best grouped results came in Customer Experience at 80.4% Ventana_Research_BG_Data_Pipelines_Alteryxperformance and B++ grade due in part to its A- in Validation. In Product/ Experience, Alteryx received a B+ with a 71.5% performance due to its 81.0% performance in Usability. Alteryx was designated an Overall Leader, as well as a Leader in Product Experience, Adaptability, Usability and Validation.

        Alteryx partially participated in the RFI process.

        Alteryx’s B+ in Product Experience was impacted by its B in Manageability where it could improve the information provided in relation to administration and configuration. Customer Experience was impacted by its B+ grade in TCO/ROI where it could better articulate its benefits.

        Alteryx performed best in Customer Experience with a B++ grade, notably in Validation where it received an A- due to its references and case studies, as well as support information. In Usability, Alteryx scored well with a B++ grade in terms of user experience. Alteryx’s focus on configuration and APIs led to its B++ in Adaptability.

        Alteryx did not meet the inclusion criteria for the Data Observability Buyers Guide and thus was not included.
