What is RSS and how can I use it?
In the competitive business environment, being armed with the information you need to make decisions and gain a competitive edge is critical. Getting through your e-mail is time-consuming enough, let alone surfing the web for what is relevant to you. With Really Simple Syndication (RSS), the news comes to you. RSS is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing web content.
Using an RSS Reader, you can view data feeds from various sources. For example, you can be notified of the latest research notes on the Performance Management vendors and research categories you are most interested in. Just copy and paste any URL above into your RSS Reader.
How can I read RSS?
RSS Readers (also called RSS Aggregators) will download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial RSS Readers are available for download. You can use "standalone" programs or use a service that will let you add RSS feeds to a web page. For instance, Mozilla FireFox users can use the browser's built in functionality, and Yahoo! users can add RSS feeds to your My Yahoo! page. Learn more about RSS Readers.
