Information Applications
Ventana Research is the first research company to benchmark organizations' use of technology for making information more accessible by using platforms and tools that can help organizations assemble and deploy information while making it easy to search and navigate for being better informed or for taking action and making decisions. The research assessed the maturity by examining the people, process, information and technology competencies required to support them optimally.
The findings offer significant new insights into attitudes toward information applications and the processes they enable. Organizations take these issues seriously: Considerably more than half (58 percent) of research participants said it is very important to improve information availability. They also intend to take steps to do that: More than half are planning to change the way they make information available in the next 12 to 18 months.
Join Mark Smith, CEO and EVP of Research at Ventana Research, as he details the research findings and helps you to understand how organizations are maturing in utilizing information applications to meet a range of business needs.
Among the points to be discussed in the webinar are these key insights:
- Why it is important to improve in design, assembly and deployment of information applications.
- How important Business-IT collaboration is for information applications.
- Uncover issues in the adequacy of the technology currently used to build information applications.
- See the key role of analytics and presentation components as aspects of information applications.
- Discuss the importance of search and navigation in facilitating collaboration and data discovery.
- Review the role of mobile access to information.
