        Master Data Management Research Quantifies and Benchmarks Maturity

        Most In-Depth Market Research on MDM Unveiled in Upcoming Webinar

         

        SAN MATEO, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—October 4, 2006—New research on Master Data Management from Ventana Research reveals significant trends in MDM and the maturity of organizations adopting this process and technology.

        Among the key research findings, Ventana Research found:

        • Maturity Levels:  Organization maturity with respect to MDM is very low - between Tactical (36%) and Advanced (34%).

        • Growing Awareness of MDM:  More than 80 percent of respondents reported that they were aware of the meaning of the term “master data management”.

        • Timeliness and Consistency of Information is Paramount:  42 percent ranked improving timeliness and consistency of information as most important expected benefits.
